Ten years ago, Hurricane Katrina made landfall on the Mississippi and Louisiana coasts, causing the most expensive and active hurricane season in U.S. History. The Salvation Army responded immediately, deploying thousands of officers, volunteers and employees to the region to provide love, compassion and practical needs.

Today, The Salvation Army continues to be a source of hope, stability and service to the residents of the Gulf Coast.

In this documentary, Salvation in the Storm:Remembering Hurricane Katrina, officers, employees and survivors share powerful stories and highlight some of the most memorable moments immediately following the devastating storm, as well as The Salvation Army’s continuing efforts to support the communities affected by Hurricane Katrina.
